Timothy Cranley

At the inquest into the death of Timothy Cranley the local DI said that Cranly openly supplied meat to the RIC in spite of the boycott. Further that Cranley was not on good terms with the father of John Allen recently executed by the British. John Allen was Captain in the local IRA and had been executed by te British in Feb 1921 for possession of arms and documents ‘prejudicial to the restoration of order in Ireland’. Allen lived in Nelson Street as well as Cranley

There appear to be no IRA witness statements about Cranley's death.
