Adrian Clifford (McClintock) de Fleury

The Florence O'Donoghue papers record that Eskell  (the script is unclear) a man who had moved to Cork “to recover his delicate health for six months”  , left Cork on 13-10-1921 saying to his golf partner Adrian De Fleury that he had been on the job,  Fluery realising that his life could be in danger for associating reported to T Ryall about the matter.

1899 Feb 4. Born Cork (he made mimself a year older to enlist). I assume that Adrian Clifford de St Antoine De Fleury, a London Solicitor, was his uncle and that he was named after him.

1901 census Living at Clifton Terrace, Cork

1911 census At boarding school in Masonic School, Roebuck, Dundrum, Co Dublin

1917 May 2. Enlisted in RAF

1917 Jul 19. Commissioned 2nd Lt

1918 Apr . Promoted Lt

pre-war Apprentice in Grain Trade at RH Hill & Co in Cork

1919 Feb 25. Transferred to unemployed list

1928 Aug 1 Married in Tralee to Irene E Blennerhassett

1931 appointed a member of Westport Harbour Board

He moved to Westport with his wife, and he managed W&GT Pollexfen on Westport Quay until his retirement

1981 they moved to Carrickfergus

1989 May 26 Died Carrickfergus

203 Dec 28 His wife died at Carrickfergus
