His brother Christopher was killed when the ship he was serving on sank in the Thames Estuary. The ship, H.M. Paddle Mine Sweeping Ship "Erin’s Isle", was engaged in mine-sweeping operations when a mine exploded. K/28796 Stoker 1st Class Christopher Patrick Graham. The Royal Navy. H.M.P.M.S "Erin's Isle". Drowned 7 Feb 1919.
