The inquest shows he was shot by a Black & Tan, Andrew McKinley, who was in fact later dismissed from RIC on 21 Jul 1921 (no reason in register)
The inquest acpted that the shooting was in self defence and McKinley's story in upheld by the local RIC Sergeant.
